I still remember my first lesson: a crash course on Chemical Kinetics. As I’ve never taken tuition before, I was really very worried; would this be a waste of time and money? What if I still don’t understand anything? Most of all, my pride couldn’t accept the fact that I needed tuition just to do well for A levels. However, I was blown away in that one lesson by the ease in which you helped us to realise concepts, link topics together and remember things. I think it’s safe to say that if you lectured in a school, no one would be skipping lectures ever again. Concepts which eluded me for more than a year were suddenly debunked. For anyone who thinks that tuition is just a second school lecture to refresh our memories and thousands of drill questions, maybe they are right, but that is definitely not William’s lessons. He has redefined the idea of tuition for me.

It is inspiring to witness the joy with which you teach your students, and how you add in lame but very funny jokes. The small gestures you do like asking us individually “How’s prelims?” or remembering every single one of us by our name or by teaching continuously for more than 12 hours a day and sacrificing health just for us, will not be forgotten. With that, thank you so much. I’d definitely recommend Making Sense to all my juniors.
